A wise man once said, “If you haven’t any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble”. Charity, as we all know it, is a virtue that involves giving up one’s time and money in order to help the needy. As a focal point of Louisville Girls High School, Charity, is one value that is held in high esteem.
The much long-awaited opening of the Bridge of Care Store finally arrived, and on 31st January 2021, the Principal with some members of staff and a group of students worked together to prepare in anticipation of its grand opening.
We started with the cleaning up of the library where the students thoroughly arranged the books according to categories. The floor was properly swept and mopped until it became spotless for the exercise. The next activity was to gather and arrange the bags of clothes based on their quality which were previously organized by some students. In no time, the bulk of work had been completed and we moved back to the school compound.
At the end of the day, we were all glad that we contributed to a project that would help the community, which is what truly depicts the act of charity.
